Nov 12,  · hiss/high hat, hum/ bass note or synth, whine/flute. I doubt the speakers know the difference. DO you have one of those dimmer equiped halogen lights on the circut? they will make all kinds of racket through the lines.

Jun 27,  · Hiss and Hum removal I am wondering if there is a tool within Sonar PE (I am running S6PE) for removal of hiss and/or hum. Specifically I think programs like Adobe Auditon and Soundforge have tools where you sample a very short section of the unwanted noise and then it runs an algorithm that subtracts it out of your track.

This makes it seem like a bad tube is humming, but in reality, it just isn’t silencing the hum anymore. That’s pretty rare, but if it does happen you’ll need to replace the power tubes. More often than not, when your amp is making a humming sound, it’s caused by dirty power, a bad ground connection, or fluorescent lighting.

The hum can best be described like a faint diesel engine: doo boo, doo boo, doo boo, etc with white noise instead of a doo or a boo. Alternatively I can describe it as white noise (hiss) that happens 3 to 5 times a second. Should I try the HUM X? Or should I take the speaker to be serviced?

Oct 06,  · Speaker hiss. Discussion in 'Audio Hardware' started by Oliver Meyer, Oct 5, Just power cord and speakers connected, there was no hiss. Is the phono just amplifying the hiss? I have noticed that there is a hum coming from the power amp. I assume it's the transformer.

A noisy supply will most often BUZZ, but it can also cause HUM, HISS, or WHINE (like digital noise). A noisy power supply can be caused by 4 things: A power supply not designed to be quiet for audio. A damaged power supply.

Jul 09,  · Hiss/White Noise in Studio Monitors Sign in to disable this ad Couldn't really work out where to put this. I recently purchased the Yamaha HS7 Monitors and I've noticed some white noise/hiss coming out of the tweeters and a hum coming from below the speaker. I didn't really notice this before and wonder if something has suddenly happened to them?
